When it comes to wedding inspiration, where better to look than at a couple who have already celebrated their big day? Take a peek at Sophie and Dean’s stunning winter wedding, captured by the amazing Julia, from Fairytale Weddings.

The couple chose Gosfield Hall as the venue for the special day. The Georgian Mansion, set in the luscious Essex Countryside, looked beyond magical on this particular frosty winter morning. The venue was simply magnificent both inside and out. It oozed elegance and glamour, providing the perfect day for Sophie and Dean.

Sophie got ready in the ‘Rococca Bridal Suite’, an opulent room with huge floor length mirrors- perfect for magical photo opportunities like the one below. Sophie’s hair and makeup was taken care of by the talented Kim, from Sandford Hairdressing, and Danielle Copeland, from Make Up by Guru Danni. Sophie wore a draping Eliza Jane Howell dress that was intricately decorated with beaded embellishment. She paired the gown with jewellery, gifted to her by Dean and her parents, and a fabulous pair of Jimmy Choo’s to top it all off. Her bouquet was a ginormous, autumnal masterpiece. The florist, Stephanie Rose, mixed wild greenery with beautiful blooms and natural golden hues, to match the subtle hints of gold Sophie and Dean accented their wedding styling throughout the day with. How sensational does Sophie look here?!

Sophie and Dean chose to have their ceremony in the Queen Charlotte Gallery, a stunning 120 foot-long hall that makes the walk down the aisle all the more special.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests ventured outside into the chilly weather for photos- and boy are we glad they braved the cold. The sun was just setting as Julia shot some of the most breathtakingly romantic wedding photos we’ve ever seen. The grounds! The dress! The light! It all comes together, perfectly.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a drinks reception accompanied by talented violinist, Hayley Pomfrett, before sitting down for the wedding breakfast in the Royal Ballroom.

We love the elegant golden styling, perfect for a pre-Christmas wedding!

The cake was a magnificent 5 tier dream that had been made by Sophie’s very talented friend, Kelly Noonan.

Once the cake was cut, Sophie and Dean made their way to the dance floor for their first dance.

From start to finish, Sophie and Dean’s day was full of beauty, magic and special moments. A huge congratulations to the happy couple and a big thank you to Julia for sharing her sensational photography with us.
